Why am I so sure I can help you?

I have been successfully teaching beginners to advanced artists for almost forty years. In that time I have constantly seen the majority reach levels way beyond their expectations. Please follow the links to artstudio91 where you can read about my teaching ethics and see some examples of my students work. (Just a reminder that I am tutoring only in oils and heat-dried oils). The following is the question I’ve heard countless times:

“I would love to paint; but do I need talent?”.

No, no! Inborn talent certainly gives you an initial boost on the ladder. However, I have seen many “talented” artists fall by the wayside because they lack some of the qualities listed here.

First of all you need the desire to create something beautiful and secondly the diligence to absorb the instruction necessary to turn your dreams into reality. If we combine your “wanting” to achieve and “willingness to work” with my experience in “how to” the results will speak for themselves.
